Change to Tapestry
Dear Parents and Carers
At Kings Heath we have just updated to the new version of Tapestry! (the online learning journey) This is great news because it means they are using a neater, more intuitive, and even more secure system. Your child’s learning journey on Tapestry has been moved across so you will still be able to access everything that you could access before, but there are a couple of things to let you know:
1) The login page for the updated version of Tapestry can now be found on tapestryjournal.com.
You will need to login from there now so if you have your Tapestry login page bookmarked on any devices, you might want to think about updating the web address that it takes you to. If you do go to eylj.org rather than tapestryjournal.com though you should see a link to the updated version so please click on that.
2) You may need to update your app.
Versions of the Tapestry app that came out before mid-August can only see the original version of Tapestry so you will need to make sure you have updated recently.
If you have an Android device, please open it up and look at the bottom of the login or pin entry screen for the message starting Version A-3.2.7 or higher (e.g., Version A-3.2.8, Version A-3.2.9 ...). If it is not there, or has a lower number, please download the latest version of the app from the Google Play store. If you have an Apple device, please open it up and look at the bottom of the login or pin entry screen for a message starting Version I-3.2.7 or higher (e.g., Version I-3.2.8, Version I-3.2.9, ...). If it is not there, or has a lower number, please download the latest version of the app from the Apple app store.
3) Your notifications may go to your spam box.
If you’re finding that you aren’t getting notifications through please check your spam box and add email@example.com to your safe senders list.
This page explains how to do that if you’re using outlook (that includes Hotmail), but if you’re using a different provider you should be able to find instructions for how to do that by googling it.
If your emails still don’t come through please ask a manager at your child’s setting (nursery/childminder/school) to check what’s happening to them in their ‘Email Log’ on Tapestry.
4) You may notice that the browser version looks a little bit different. It is all the same for now though!
5) If you have any problems please contact your child’s school.
