Nursery – Spring 2
We started our learning off this term with the story of the Very Hungry Caterpillar. We set up our own café in the role play area and all the children were very good at being waiters and waitresses!
We have been exploring different types of fruit including ones from the story. We made our own fruit kebabs.
We celebrated World Book Day by taking part in a variety of activities linked to the book ‘Don’t Put Your Finger in the Jelly Nelly’ by our class author Nick Sharratt.
The whole school held a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) week and nursery joined in with their own spy missions! We had great fun making spy dens and gadgets
The children were so good at the spy missions we decided to follow their interests and move on to some Paw Patrol missions! Our learning included making pretend birthday cakes for Chase, counting dog bones, using our imagination and language in small world play, saving a stranded puppy and creating Marshall a fire engine.
Oh and we also made Paw Patrol cakes to raise money for Red Nose Day!
Phew what another busy term!!
